Summary

We are seeking a Senior Infrastructure Engineer to join our Infrastructure and Security team. This role involves managing on-premises infrastructure, including data centers in Austria and Germany, and supporting services in Kubernetes clusters. You will work with modern cloud-native tools (Terraform, Kubernetes, Argo CD, Ansible) but focus primarily on self-hosted environments. This is a hands-on opportunity to contribute to infrastructure projects, improve automation, and ensure system reliability.

 

Salary: €50k-€75k/year
Location: Remote (Portugal, Austria, Czechia, Hungary, Latvia, Poland, Spain)

Key Responsibilities

• Administer and maintain Kubernetes clusters and ensure seamless service deployment.

• Manage and optimize Helm charts for Kubernetes.

• Oversee servers, storage, and networking within self-hosted data centers.

• Collaborate with Infrastructure team members across three levels (Support, Admin, and Senior).

• Use tools like Terraform, Ansible, and Argo CD to enhance automation and streamline infrastructure processes.

• Support user management, including Microsoft 365, email services, and device management.

• Participate in ongoing and large-scale infrastructure projects (e.g., Kubernetes implementations).

 

Required Skills

• Strong experience in Kubernetes administration and managing Helm charts.

• Proficiency in networking, servers, and storage for self-hosted environments.

• Comfortable working primarily on non-cloud infrastructure (at least in the beginning).

 

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Terraform, Ansible, and Argo CD/Flux CD.

• Familiarity with CI/CD tools like GitHub Actions, GitLab, or CircleCI.

• Self-hosted environment experience is a bonus.

• DevSecOps knowledge is highly valued, as the team will take on security tasks in the future.
