Summary

We are looking for a Data Engineer ($150K – $250K + equity), with 4+ years of professional experience and an interest in the DeFi industry.

Chaos Labs is one of the fastest growing companies in Crypto.

It’s the first automated, on-chain economic security system for optimizing risk management and capital efficiency in crypto protocols. Works with top protocols like AAVE, dYdX, Lido and Uniswap, securing billions of dollars in assets.

While prior experience with blockchain technology or DeFi protocols is a plus, it's not essential. What truly matters is your dedication to excellence and desire to learn the world of decentralized finance.

What you’ll do

• Collaborate with Researchers: Understand new DeFi protocols with our research team.
• Design Data Models: Tailor data models to DeFi risk portfolios, integrating on-chain and off-chain data.
• Develop Data Pipelines: Create reliable pipelines for data ingestion, validation, and transformation.
• Build Dashboards: Design interactive dashboards to provide a comprehensive view of protocol risks.
• Innovate in DeFi: Craft data models and pipelines for robust risk analysis and key decision-making.

What We’re Looking For

• Experience: 3+ years of professional development experience in Node.JS and Python.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in working with data-oriented products and developing reliable data pipelines.
• Self-Management: Demonstrated experience working in self-managed, fast-paced environments.
• Interest in DeFi: A strong interest in learning and mastering the world of decentralized finance.

Nice to have / Bonus

• DeFi or Blockchain Experience: Previous experience in DeFi or Blockchain Technology, whether professionally or privately.
• Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or similar from top universities, military service in relevant technical units, or equivalent experience.
