Summary


We are seeking a Data Engineer (€45k- 50k / year) to play a key role in shaping our data infrastructure and products. You’ll have the opportunity to drive innovation, selecting the best technologies and tools to enhance our platform.

We work with IoT and real-time data, developing AI/ML-driven analytics solutions, so you can expect to tackle exciting technical challenges. Your responsibilities will include working with databases, data models, and data pipelines, collaborating closely with backend and platform engineers, data scientists, and business stakeholders to deliver impactful solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, and maintain SQL/NoSQL/time-series databases, ensuring data consistency, monitoring performance, maintaining views, and improving efficiency.
  • Develop and maintain efficient and scalable batch/streaming data pipelines for various products and use cases.
  • Take ownership of existing data models and develop new ones in collaboration with domain experts and product owners.

 

Requirements

  • Ability to write high-quality production-grade code in at least one of Python, Scala, or Java.
  • Solid experience with both relational and NoSQL databases. Experience with MongoDB and PostgreSQL is highly desirable.
  • Experience in building data pipelines and data integration processes.
  • Familiarity with streaming data platforms (e.g., Kafka, Spark Streaming).
  • Strong knowledge of current tools, best practices, and methodologies.
  • Good communication skills are essential.

 

Nice-to-Have

  • Skills in data modeling (ER models, normalization, etc.) and data architecture.
  • Experience with big data technologies and distributed frameworks like Hadoop/Spark.
  • Understanding of DBMS settings, performance tuning, and optimization.
  • Experience with Azure, automation, and infrastructure-as-code.
