We are seeking a proactive and results-driven Business Development Associate ($129K–$153K / year) to join our team. Reporting directly to the Head of Strategy, you will play a critical role in managing our inbound leads, driving deal cycles from pipeline to closure, and representing the company at Web3 events. You will also lead outbound efforts, support deal progression, and ensure seamless collaboration across stakeholders.

The ideal candidate has exceptional communication and organizational skills, a solid understanding of the DeFi/Web3 space, and a “doer” mindset to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • ​​​​​​Pipeline & Deal Management – Qualify inbound leads, drive outbound efforts, and support deal progression by preparing proposals and contract materials.
  • Strategic Communication – Act as the main contact for prospects, coordinate meetings, and track deal progress.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration – Work with internal teams to ensure smooth client handoffs, renewals, and upsell opportunities.
  • Relationship Management – Build strong client relationships, articulate value propositions, and drive long-term satisfaction.
  • Event & Market Development – Represent the company at Web3, Fintech, and Blockchain events to expand partnerships and business opportunities.


Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Finance, or a related field
  • 2-3 years of experience in business development, sales, or related roles, preferably in a Web3, DeFi, or technology environment
  • Demonstrated ability to manage a sales pipeline, build client relationships, and close deals effectively.
  • Experience with CRM tools, pipeline management, and sales methodologies (e.g., MEDDIC).
  • Strong understanding of DeFi and Web3 concepts, with the ability to translate technical topics into business language.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proven organizational and multitasking skills to manage multiple leads and priorities.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to provide accurate forecasts and reports.
  • Proactive, solution-oriented approach with a strong sense of ownership.
  • Experience working in both corporate and startup environments (ideally in Finance, Fintech, and Web3), demonstrating knowledge of business development best practices and the ability to adapt and implement them in a startup setting.
  • Based in New York, with the flexibility to work in a hybrid model.
  • Willingness to travel up to 25% of the time for events or client meetings
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
  • Self-starter mentality with a strong sales and business acumen, coupled with experience in closing deals.
